Retreads gives same performance and is reliable as brand-new tyres, but for very less cost. Depending on usage the life of a retreaded tyre can be expected to 60-80 percent of the life of a new tyre. So, substantial savings can be achieved when retreading is built into fleet management policies. Retread is environmentally safe and sensitive it takes much less energy to produce a retread compared to the production of a new tyre.
